- Product Description
Red-stained beech is one of the most recognizable looks on an AK, and this set carries it across every piece the shooter touches — folding stock, upper handguard, sharkfin lower handguard and pistol grip, sanded and finished together so the tone and grain stay consistent from the receiver back.
The sharkfin lower is the departure from tradition. Its flared, stepped underside gives the support hand somewhere positive to index and pull against, and a relief cut at the rear keeps a side-mounted optic rail clear — all without breaking up the rifle’s classic outline.
Behind it, the stock pivots on a hardened 4140 steel hinge that is through-bolted for the full length of the stock rather than pinned into end grain, so the joint carries the load instead of the wood. A steel push-button releases the stock to fold and locks it solid again when it is swung out. Fitting is straightforward on a correctly cut receiver, and the components are shaped to sit flush rather than needing to be worked in.
